All done- what do you think?

The chunkiness of this stone with double triangle bail begged for something with more texture in the rope, so did a Turkish loop crochet, with 4mm flat jasper circles, 4mm dyed onyx rounds, 11° in two colors and some awesome glass beads that were the last packet left at my LBS. I wanted the glass beads to be on either side of the bail, so put the beaded toggle and loop on the side, where everyone says it is perfect! Glad it worked out that way.

What do YOU think?

Now, if only Take Me To Your Leader would get in step and tell me what to do next- sigh.

Penny's WT? Swap items

These are Penny's bracelets, created for the WT? Swap at Beaddreamz Yahoogroup- the top one if Turkish Crochet, and the bottom is a caterpillar form. I am happy she likes them both!

For Gail

This is for you, dear Friend, who watches our Tippy when we have to leave town (and spoils him rotten, and laughs off his faux pas!), fixes us tea, shares hours of interesting conversations on any topic, and doesn't mind me organizing or rearranging her home!
She is also my Mary Kay rep, so the colors are those....wear them in good health, Gail!

Last, but not least

A bit of Turkish crochet, in the form of bangles; one for my FL hostess Friend, Bebee and one for my transportation Queen, Harleen.
I will be taking this form of creating to the upcoming jury selection March 1, in Bryson City :-).

Ah think Ah'm in Luv

Turkish Crochet- what's not to love? portable, easy to add beaded toggle/loop combo, no spilling beads, fast, colorful, versatility as to bead choices/sizes....did I mention FAST!
Gotta love it.
if you try to teach yourself from the instructions in the Dec 09 Bead and Button Mag, try putting the beads you slide up on the OTHER side of the hook, not in front as shown in the photo- they will slide up completely and keep you from having alot of thread showing, plus be easier to hook and lock down with your next slip stitch- THANKS, Ingrid!
As always, click on the pics to make them full size.
